It is that time of the year where you start planning for what you want out of the New Year.
Maybe you have already started.
Did you know that at least 80% of New Year’s resolutions fail?
We wanted to share three quick tips to help you be in the top 20%.
We want you to win.
Number One – The 1% method is about setting very small changes in the way you do things
every day. If you are just 1% better each day in relation to your goals, you will be amazed at
how far you can go. Do not jump too far, too quickly.
For example, if your goal is to go to the gym, maybe just go for 15 minutes 3 times a week and
build from there. As your mind gets used to this small change, the next step is easier.
Two – Give yourself a daily reminder. Maybe it is a post it on your computer, a note on the
mirror when you wake up or a reminder on your phone. Keeping your goals front of mind trains
your brain to know where your focus is.
Three – Tell everyone. It can be hard to make it public, but having other people know will keep
you accountable for your wins. Tell your family, friends and even post your intentions to
Facebook. It will help.
These are just three little things you can do this year, but if you do them, they will help.
