The Essentials and Comprehensive Policies offer the following standard policy features:
- Cover for medical and repatriation expenses
- Emergency assistance provided 24 hours/7 days a week by Allianz Global Assistance and their international assistance network
- Replacement cover for baggage items less than 2 years old
- Dependent children under 21 years are covered at no additional charge
- Rental vehicle excess cover
- Some recreational sports are automatically covered including:
- Leisure skiing and snowboarding
- Scuba diving (with PADI or NAUI qualification)
- Hot air ballooning
- Parasailing and paragliding
- Bungee jumping
- White-water rafting in grade 4 or less rivers
The Comprehensive policy also includes:
- Evacuation cover for civil unrest in the Pacific Islands
- Terrorism cover
- Automatic cover for some Pre-existing medical conditions
You can also ask us for the following extensions:
- Private hospital care where reciprocal health agreements are in place
- Nil and high excess options
- Increased cover for specified high value items
- Cover for Pre-existing medical conditions. Your request will be subject to assessment, and if we agree to the extension, an additional premium may be payable.

Automatic cover for these activities: Abseiling, Archery, Ballooning, Bungy Jumping, Flying Fox, Horse Riding, Jet Boating, Jet Skiing, Kayaking, Parasailing, Paragliding, Snorkelling, White Water Rafting, Scooters/ motorcycles under 200cc (must wear a helmet at all times). Your participation in any of the activities listed is subject to the terms of cover.
Many winter activities are automatically included in your policy, such as tobogganing, dog sledding, ice hockey, glacier walking with an organised tour and ice fishing with an organised tour.
3 types of policies are available: YourCover, Essentials and Corporate policies.
YourCover is Cover-More’s comprehensive product, available as a Single Trip or Annual Multi Trip policy.
The YourCover policy, also enables you to tailor your travel insurance to suit your travel style by adding on optional extras (at an additional premium) such as Adventure, Adventure +, Motorcycle + (if planning on touring on motorcycles with an engine capacity over 200cc), and Snow Sports + (if snow skiing/snowboarding off-piste or heli-skiing/snowboarding). If planning a multi-night cruise as part of your journey, it is mandatory to add on Cruise Cover (at an additional premium). Benefits include cover for cabin confinement, onboard medical and dental treatment, ship to shore medical cover, missed ports, missed shore excursions and self-skippered boat insurance excess. Allianz Australia Insurance Limited has an AA- insurer financial strength rating given by Standard & Poor’s (Australia) Pty Limited. The rating scale* in summary form is: AAA Extremely Strong, BBB Good, CCC Very Weak AA Very Strong, BB Marginal, CC Extremely Weak A Strong, B Weak, R Regulatory Action Plus (+) or minus (-): Ratings from “AA” to “CCC” may be modified by the addition of a plus (+) or minus (-) sign to show relative standings within the major rating categories.

Under Australian law, if Allianz Australia Insurance Limited is wound up, its assets in Australia must be applied to its Australian liabilities before they can be applied to overseas liabilities.
